Who Are Muslims?
Allah [God] addresses Mankind and says,
"Surely the men who submit and the women who submit, and the believing men and the believing women, and the obeying men and the obeying women, and the truthful men and the truthful women, and the patient men and the patient women and the humble men and the humble women, and the almsgiving men and the almsgiving women, and the fasting men and the fasting women, and the men who guard their private parts and the women who guard [their private parts], and the men who remember Allah [God] much and the women who remember-- Allah [God] has prepared for them forgiveness and a mighty reward."
Holy Qur'an [Chapter 33:35]
Muslims are not to be confused or associated in any way with the Nation of Islam. The Nation of Islam is a political movement , not religious. Their Beliefs contradict that of true Islam. Muslims are people who believe in one God and follow his last Prophet Muhammad who was born in 570 C.E. and is the descendant of Abraham.
Do Muslims Believe in Jesus?
Yes, in fact ‘Isa (Jesus) holds very high status in Islam. Though he is only a Prophet and not the son of Allah (God) his name is mentioned in the Holy Qur’an extensively.
If Muslims are Peaceful then why all the violence on T.V.?
Firstly, everything on T.V. is NOT TRUE! To prove this just read the Holy Qur’an and see if the violence on T.V. matches the content in the Holy Qur’an or the Character of the Prophet [Muhammad].
No, Islam is not a new religion, but the same truth that God revealed through all his Holy Books. It is over 14 Centuries Old.
Why is there so much talk of women being Oppressed in Islam?
Unfortunately this is a cultural issue, some nations practice oppressive laws that go against the teachings of the Holy Qur’an; For instance, Allah (God) says in the Holy Qur’an, “And whoever does righteous good deeds, Male or Female, and has true Faith in Allah (God) such will enter Paradise...” -Holy Qur’an Chapter 4
The Prophet Muhammad also discouraged mistreatment of Women as well by saying, “Treat your women well and be kind to them for they are your partners and committed helpers."
-From the last sermon of Prophet Muhammad
